Dr. Hart's Seminars and Workshops: Navigating the VA Claims Process

Dr. Hart conducts specialized seminars and workshops that combine medical expertise with the VA claims process, streamlining the disability claims process for veterans.

In these workshops, veterans will learn how to:

• Review medical and service treatment records to identify potential disability conditions eligible for claims.
• Identify the appropriate claim type under which each condition should be filed, and how to properly submit the claim.
• Conduct clinical research to find supporting evidence for their claims, which should be submitted with the claim.
• Understand the different types of medical opinions and determine which one is necessary to submit in support of the disability claim.
• Gain a detailed overview of the Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam, including what to expect and how to prepare for the exam.

Veterans will receive a workbook containing:

• A How-To Guide to understanding the claims process.
• Worksheets for taking notes and preparing for the C&P exam, including sections to track:
  • Claims and medical conditions
  • Past medical history
  • Active medications
  • List of service-connected conditions (SC conditions)

Veterans are encouraged to review the workbook periodically, update their notes, document claims and medical conditions, and bring it to their C&P exams to ensure all relevant information is available.
